The Rancho Bernardo Inn Women’s Golf Club will host its annual Invitational golf tournament on Tuesday, May 17.

2016 Invitational logoThis year’s theme continues the Club’s tribute to “America the Beautiful.” A highlight of the tournament will be recognition of participants who have served in the U.S. military.

“This annual event allows us to showcase our beautiful home course at Rancho Bernardo Inn,” said Melissa McBratney, club president. “Through the participation of all of our club members, we strive to make the tournament a fun, attractive and accessible experience for women golfers from around Southern California.”

Entries open on March 9 and close on May 3. Entry fee is $95 per person, which includes greens fees, golf cart, range balls, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. Check-in for the event will begin at 6:30 a.m. for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The Rancho Bernardo Inn Women’s Golf Club was founded in 1963. The first Invitational was held in spring 1964 and has since grown into one of the premier women’s golfing events in San Diego County.

Rancho Bernardo Inn’s 18-hole championship golf course opened for play in 1962 and was designed by William Francis Bell, also the architect of Torrey Pines and several other quality courses in Southern California. RBI is managed by JC Golf.
