The Rancho Bernardo Inn Women’s Golf Club sponsors several special tournaments and events each year, many of which are documented with photos and slideshows. Among the best-attended tournaments and events are the following:

The Invitational, normally scheduled each May, draws a full field of 144 women golfers from across Southern California. The first Invitational tournament was in spring 1964, during the Club’s first year as an organization. In 2020, the tournament was canceled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, the Invitational was played on Tuesday, September 21. In 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2021, players scored a hole-in-one during the tournament. Iris Delaney had a hole-in-one on No. 11 in 2016, and Chandra Chase had a hole-in-one on No. 11 in 2017. In 2019, Diana Bolander had a hole-in-one on No. 13. In 2021, Camille Medina scored a hole-in-one on No. 4. For complete results of the 2019 Invitational, please click here.

The Club Championship is a two-day major tournament and was played on June 8 and June 15 in 2021. The two-day tournament is a combined gross-score event.

The President’s Cup is a two-day major tournament, which was canceled in 2021 because of poor course conditions. The two-day tournament is a combined net-score event.

A Two-Person Scramble special tournament was played on March 2, 2021.

An Individual Eclectic special tournament was played on August 3 and August 10 in 2021.

The Holiday Tournament (Texas Scramble) is scheduled for December 7, 2021.

The Holiday Party (Luncheon) is scheduled for December 14, 2021.
